Normandy: Building an IGP to structure its reborn wine industry
Normandy winemakers are finalizing a specifications project for a Normandy Wine IGP, initiated by the Vignerons de Normandie association. Around 50 growers currently cultivate some 60 ha, aiming to structure the sector and highlight regional terroirs
🚧 The specifications emphasize locally adapted grape varieties and the preservation of the bocage landscape, backed by regional authorities and INAO
A significant step for a still-developing sector, this IGP, expected by 2026, could boost oenotourism, distribution, and the reputation of Normandy wines.
