On-site preparations to welcome the next vintage
At Château des Sources, preparations for the grape harvest are already well underway. At the moment, Fernando is carrying out the pruning work, which is essential for controlling the vigour of the vines and optimising the ripening of the grapes. At the same time, he is continuing with soil preparation, estate maintenance and repairs to the irrigation system.
Back at the winery, the teams are also preparing for the upcoming harvest: storage areas are gradually being cleared to make room for the new vintages. Next week will be devoted to a full overhaul of the equipment to ensure it is in peak condition for the crucial harvest period.
The major cellar clean-up will begin in July, an essential step to ensure quality, hygiene and technical precision. This meticulous preparation illustrates the daily rigours of the trade.
